How do we use your Stories?

Thank you for contributing to the Capital Neighbourhoods virtual exhibition. By contributing, you are joining a grass roots effort to tell the story of Ottawa.

By submitting your story (text, images, and video) to the Capital Neighbourhoods website, you are agreeing that you have the right to do so. You may not upload any illegal, offensive or copyrighted material, or material deemed inappropriate, indecent, cruel, inhumane, or derogatory by the Bytown Museum at its discretion.

You are allowing the Bytown Museum to include your story in the virtual exhibition and use it for education and publicity purposes. Any images that you upload to Capital Neighbourhoods will be shared under the Bytown Museum Flickr account with an Attribution-Noncommercial license.

After your story is submitted, it will be approved for publishing by the Bytown Museum before it is publicly accessible.

Capital Neighbourhoods Privacy Policy

The Bytown Museum is dedicated to protecting your privacy as you use our web site. Our policy is that no personal information will be collected about you unless you choose to provide it and that any personal information which you provide us will be safeguarded to the best of our ability and not shared with others for any reason except as required by law.
